Just in case you are curious with "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo". [No Spoiler]


As I've said in my book expectations in Part 1 of this sort-a review, I am not a fan of this type of book. I got intrigued when it was declared for a film adaptation.

Reading the book, I've realized that it was purely in self-help genre. So, they're just picking up the title and grabbing the book's fans with their weak plot? On the other hand, Bautista will be in favor of this since it will give more popularity of his book.

The book was mostly covering Q/A of love problems from NBSBs to being active in skoodilypooping. But it was funny and somehow, gathering those quotable quotes are a hard work. But I'm also not sure with the originality of the lines. Good writers steal, bad writers borrow.

I was a bit expecting it was a story sort of similar to Korean movie Men's Manual(aka How to Use Guys with Secret Tips), in Filipino version written in the book. I was wrong, it wasn't. So I scanned the book last night because somehow it's the only thing I can do with ALECO's power outage in the land of Albay. I am guessing, the movie will be somehow similar to Men's Manual since they've said Ramon Bautista is part of the movie.

And yet as expected, I'm not going to go to the theater just to hate-watch the movie and create a hate-review so I'm closing my thoughts on this.

Reverse Bittering


Good luck to those who are going to watch. If you think you will enjoy the movie, then you will, for sure.

Misnomer no more, pronouncing "Laguna de Bay" the right way!

Few years ago, we went to Paete/Pagsanjan by commuting from Cainta via mostly R-5/Manila East Rd. On our return home, we commuted via mostly Manila South Rd/AH26. In short, we made a 360 Laguna de Bay trip. At Tatlung Kruz, overlooking Paete Town and Laguna de Bay  After visiting Bulusan lake, I started to categorize my lake travels and wondered what was the largest lake in the Philippines. I found Laguna de Bay– unconsciously included a few times in my past itineraries. I wondered why a lake was called "Laguna de Bay", pronouncing "Bay" as in the inlet of the sea that's smaller than a gulf. Laguna de Bay means "Lagoon of the town of Bay". The town Bay is pronounced Bä'ï or “Bae”, the latter is also the alternative name of the town. As I write this blog, I still say "bay" out of habit. Now, I must misnomer no more if I pass by Laguna de Bay, by the by!
