My boss at DENR Foreshore Management once said, "Beaches are just beaches. Stop romanticizing!” (not his actual words). They’re all the same–sand, water, fishes, etc. They say old age is the new hell. I didn’t get what he meant that day but now I do, a bit. Once you’ve seen all the beaches within your reach, it’s true! Not that some beaches are made equal.
Beaches are like apples and oranges that should not be compared. “This place is the Boracay of Xxxx,” one blogger would say. Nope, been there, been there too, it’s far too different. The beaches of Dimasalang are beaches of Masbate, the beaches of Caramoan are the beaches of Camarines Sur, the beaches of Cagbalete are beaches of Quezon. They’re different. They’re all great, like life on halcyon days at the beach. Be you, unique like a beach.
